Pio De Corso - Partner

Principal, Pio De Corso, has been in practice in the Campbelltown area for over 25 years. He was a partner in a larger practice in the eastern suburbs before returning to Paradise and setting up his own practice - PBD - as sole practitioner and has set the following standards to be our guiding principles-
- Every client is important
- All questions or telephone calls from clients are important
- Clients should be treated with the same respect with which they treat you
- No task is too big or too small
- Always attempt to exceed your clients expectations of you
Pio takes a hands on approach and thinks outside the square. He is highly skilled and experienced in taxation matters, succession and inheritance planning, self-managed super funds. Pio cares and takes a real interest in the financial well being of all PBD clients.
Pio's combination of taxation and general business advisory skills provides his clients with an adviser to assist them with both their compliance and strategic planning needs.
Pio has over 20 years of accounting experience. He is a Bachelor of Economics and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Taxation Institute of Australia and Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
Pio is also a Justice of the Peace and former member of his local council serving for several terms, former Chairman of the Foundation at Rostrevor College and presently in the Finance Committee at Loreto College.
The following team members work very closely together and provide a solid support to Pio.

Specialist Area
Joanne is the newest member of the PBD Team and has worked within the taxation industry for nearly 10 years in the retail, building and primary producing industries. Joanne's exposure to Superannuation Funds is vast and she has developed strong technical experience as well as detailed knowledge of tax software programming including MYOB. Working with small and medium sized businesses, Joanne's specialist technical skills include land tax consequences, Capital Gains Tax, ownership structuring and entity options.

Despina is the newest member of the PBD Team and has worked within the taxation industry for 6 years in the retail, building and primary production industries. Working with small and medium sized businesses, Despina's specialist technical skills include Fringe Benefits Tax consequences and international tax law.

Mark's has a growing knowledge of accounting and taxation and a broad knowledge of accounting software packages. Mark maintains a strong interest in the clients he deals with, which include primary producers, retailers, professionals and high net worth individuals. He has also worked on various audit assignments for both profit and not profit organizations and is committed to the pursuit of excellence in all work which he undertakes.

Specialist Area
Mutuza has a good working knowledge of computerised accounting packages and is experienced in preparation of financial statements. Murtuza.is an excellent team member who can handle tasks autonomously with good communications and interpersonal skills. Murtuza has a particular expertise in the preparation and timely submission of personal and partnership tax returns.
Giovanna Tiscione - Administration Assistant

Career History
Giovanna's first role was with an accounting firm as a receptionist for several years before starting her family. Giovanna returned to the workforce in the field of agribusiness project managers as personal assistant to the State Manager then as personal assistant to the National Training & Development Manager before being appointed as Sales Administrator. Giovanna returned to the accountancy field when she joined PBD in the early part of 2009.

At PBD Giovanna is responsible for the lodgement of important ASIC and ATO documents for the practice along with the processing of taxation returns, reception and administration duties. Giovanna continues to implement new ideas and make suggestions to streamline her varied duties.
Brunella De Corso - Receptionist

Career History
Brunella has spent many years in the retail industry where she has had exposure to meeting and greeting people at all levels. Time was also spent in an accounting practice as receptionist and clerk. When Pio began his new practice Brunella decided to return to the work force.

Brunella's professional career combined with her extensive "real world experience" provides valuable assistance at PBD. Brunella's keen eye for detail, and enthusiasm for her role, plus her ability to set procedures into practice makes for a very workable reception desk.
